Local Larry Rambaud coasted to a seven shot victory at our Central Coast two day event on October 23 and 24. Larry posted rounds of 83 (73) and 77 (67) - 140 at Cypress Ridge Golf Course in Arroyo Grande.
Runner up was Kenn Freel 90 (69) and 99 (78) - 147 and Ed Harris, another local, was third with rounds of 89 (79) and 82 (72) - 151.
On Saturday, Freel's net 69 put him in first place while Rambaud (73) edged Phil Hornburg (73) in a card-off for second place. Jim Pescatore won the Closest to the Flagstick cash.
Rambaud's net 67 took the Sunday daily money and Ed Harris (72) won second place in a card-off over Don Hutton (72). Harris also took home the Closest to the Flagstick money.
This event attracted 16 competitors and play was completed before the arrival of the Bomb Cyclone rain event. Participants and guests enjoyed a group dinner on Saturday evening and Larry and Pam Rambaud hosted cocktails at their beautiful Shell Beach home.
Thanks to Don Hutton for hosting this tournament!
The MBGFR's next event is our annual two day tournament in Palm Desert on January 15 and 16, 2022. Make plans to attend now!
