rambauds take home desert cash

Pam RambaudPam and Larry Rambaud cleaned up at our annual two day outing in Palm Desert on January 15 and 16.

This year's event returned to beautiful Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert. Play began on Saturday on the tough Firecliff course and Rob Hall (80-70) nosed out Pam Rambaud ((99-70) for low net. Gary Paden (85-72) was third and Larry Rambaud (89-75) won a card-off for fourth.

Pam Rambaud won closest to the flagstick on hole 8 and Paden took home the money on hole 14. Second shot closest to the pin money went to Doug Dinjian on hole 6 and Jim Pescatore on hole 15.

On Sunday, competitors took on the Mountain View course and this time Pam Rambaud (99-70) won first net with Rob Hall (82-72) second. Larry Rambaud (86-73) was third and Matt Larson (85-74) was fourth.

Closest to the flagstick money went to Jerry Schock on hole 8 and Doug Dinjian on hole 11. Second shot C-T-P money went to Bob Varian and Rob Hall.

Overall two day winner was Pam Rambaud (140) and Rob Hall (142) was second, Larry Rambaud (148) was third and Gary Paden (152) was fourth.

Players enjoyed partly cloudy weather with temperatures in the 70s during the event and 22 competitors took part. Twelve players played a practice round on Friday at Eagle Falls Golf Club in Indio and Tom and Janice McKinney hosted a cocktail party at their beautiful Citrus Country Club home on Friday evening. We all owe Janice McKinney and Denise Engles BIG THANK YOUS for all their hard work and wonderful appetizers at the Friday party.
