Another McKinney Claims Title

Janice and LillieJanice McKinney blew away the field to claim the two day low net title at our recent October event on the Central Coast.

McKinney posted rounds of 74 and 66 (140) to take the low net money by seven strokes. Second place went to Nate Roldan (147) and Jim Famalette (149), a guest of Don Hutton, was third.

Tournament participants enjoyed outstanding "shorts weather" on both days of the tournament.

On day one at Cypress Ridge, Don Hutton (73) took first place in a card-off over Larry Rambaud (73). Janice McKinney (74) was third and Nate Roldan (75) was fourth.

Steve Carnes (81) bested Rambaud (82) for low gross.

Closest to the flagstick money went to Mike Laughlin and Kenn Freel.

On Sunday at Monarch Dunes, Janice McKinney's 66 took first place followed by Steve Horvath (71) and Rita Carnes (72). Nate Roldan (72) lost a card-off to finish fourth.

Steve Horvath (81) was first low gross and Steve Carnes (83) finished second.

Steve Carnes and Billy McGinn (Mike Laughlin's grandson) were the closest to the flagstick winners.

MBGFR participants enjoyed an outstanding group dinner at Rosa's Italian Restaurant on Saturday evening.
